Shenanigans Comedy Theatre

Our mission is to make the arts accessible and to do as much good in our community as possible.

Kimberly Wilson is a lesbian wife, mom, teacher and comic. She loves to perform stand up, sketch and improv comedy and because she couldn’t find an affordable and accessible venue in Huntsville to produce comedy shows, Shenanigans was born! She feels like there should be a space where talented people from all walks of life can see their dreams become reality. Because of this, the Shenanigans monthly calendar is filled with an awesome mixture of show types and show producers. If you have an idea, she wants to hear it and try to help make it happen!

Jessica Cotton is a mom, wife, special education teacher, and co-founder of Shenanigans. She is an advocate for the weirdos and misfits of the world and is committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for everyone at Shenanigans. You can find her hosting  teen meet ups and community events, working behind the bar, and hyping up comedians before they go on stage.  Catch her portraying her alter ego Turnip during Family Game Night!

Jesse Pollard is the volunteer coordinator and co-owner of Shenanigans Comedy Theatre. He loves improv, stand up, Pina Colada’s, getting caught in the rain and long walks on the beach.

Say Hello to Our Awesome 2022 Board

During the day you can find Beth typing away for her job at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and writing articles for Rocket City Mom. At night she's performing improv with Rocket City Improv at Shenanigans Comedy Theatre. She is excited to bring her skills to help the Shenanigans Comedy Theatre board.

Christy Montgomery is a local stand-up comedian.  She has been active with Shenanigans since the doors opened in 2019. She volunteers regularly by helping with with fundraiser shows as well as the concessions. She is excited to be a recent addition to our board.

Ben is a co-founder of the local improv troupe The Fantastic Invaders. He can also be found performing with Rocket City Improv from time to time, teaching improv classes and occasionally gets around to writing a comedy sketch. Since moving to Huntsville in 2013 he's worked in industrial, construction, and educational safety, but found a passion as a playground safety specialist (yes, that's actually something you can get paid to do!) He is excited to serve on the Shenanigans Comedy Theatre Board and assist anyway possible.

Kyle Stark is a local comedian, musician, and improv artist. He has been connected with Shenanigan’s for a little over one year performing Improv and volunteering. Kyle is proud to be one of the newest board members and looks forward to helping the theater and helping improve the community through improv

Jason Sims was born & raised in north Alabama and has been an improviser since 2009. He’s also done writing, acting and stand up. He’s was a founding member of Comic Science Improv, Don’t Fear The Weasel Improv and Rocket City Improv. He’s the creator and host of Huntsville’s weirdest comedy show: Comedy Test Kitchen. He loves chocolate, coffee and Shenanigans Comedy Theatre.

I started coming around shenanigans as a new comedian around four years ago, not long after they opened.  There's no other place like it. Their mission of making the arts available to everyone supports our personal growth as performers and encourages us to grow together as a community. They also provide support and services to those in the community who need it the most. I'm happy to help in any way that I can.
