Shenanigans Short Film Competition
September 21 - September 24
The Shenanigans 48-Hour Short Film Competition is an event from Shenanigans Comedy Theatre to engage local and regional filmmakers in the area to test their skills with a team to create a PG-13 movie in a weekend and see it on Shenanigans big screen. The competition is open to beginners and pros including a teen category.
Each team will sign up with a $30 fee before September 20th and join us Thursday night for a kickoff event where they will pick their comedy genre along with two elements they must incorporate into their 2-7 minute film.
Teams will submit their films Sunday morning and see it premiere live on the big screen at Shenanigans Comedy Theatre that evening. Awards will be given out with the top winners earning a cash prize. Theatre goers at the screening will have a chance to vote on a People’s Choice Winner.
Schedule
September 21
Teams meet up at Shenanigans Comedy Theatre to get their assignments and network with other filmmakers.
September 22 - 23
Teams work to write, film, and edit a 2-7 minute film that can not exceed the PG-13 Rating.
September 24
Teams will submit films and they will premeire on the Shenanigans Big Screen where judges will evaluate them live and prizes will be handed out.
